Well, I've been looking to blog on the Nice Ash website for sometime now. I've avoided starting the blog due to being just too darn busy. I'm still too darn busy but I've finally realized that if I wait till I have time, I'll never do it. So here we go, I'm going to jump in feet first and see what happens.
I'm going to start by talking a bit about my love of cigars. Everybody has a number of passions in their lives and cigars are one of mine. I view each cigar is an individual piece of art, crafted through the teamwork of many for the enjoyment of one individual. The typical cigar is touched about 300 times throughout the process of getting it from seed to my mouth, now that's teamwork. This little piece of art is not perfect, while manufacturers seek consistency every cigar is unique and it's best to be savored as such. While there always seems to be a favorite smoke or two I find much of the pleasure in exploring new sticks. The pleasant surprises far outnumber the unpleasant and the rewards of expanding the palate are far too great not to take that journey. A cigar compliments so many things; chocolates, nuts, wine, beer and whiskey. Enjoying a cigar is the ultimate de-compressor from the rigors of life. That appears to be universal amongst cigar smokers. There is an old adage that "It's impossible to fight when smoking a good cigar". That's because it mellows us and no one wants to risk losing a good cigar in a fight! Talking about cigars gives me a hankering for a stogie. I think its about time to head to the Ash and search for a little piece of art.
