The Nice Ash is a great place to watch the Packer's games. We offer free shots with every Packer touchdown. We have free food during the game, usually something like pizza, sloppy joe's, sausages, or wings.
You can enjoy a fine cigar and a great craft beer or one of our 145+ whiskies! And best of all, you will be cheering with a great group of Packer fans. So what are you waiting for? Getcher Ash in here and cheer the Pack to victory!

Tomorrow Scotland will vote on withdrawing from the United Kingdom. This is a monumental event that will have far reaching affects across the globe. Will it spur more separatist efforts in other regions? Will it destabilize the European economy? And probably most importantly at the Ash; what will it do to whisky prices? Stay tuned!
We ordered too much during our recent cigar convention so we are having a huge box sale. Boxes are now 20% to 40% off and you also get a free variety 5 pack of cigars. So what are you waiting for? Getcher Ash in here and get some!

Getcher Ash in here! Most of you are thinking what are these random letters that Jeff just through up on the website. Well IPCPR stands for the International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers. It is our trade organization and Joette and I just got back from their annual show in Las Vegas. This is where cigar manufacturers typically debut their new selections.
We found lots of new delicious smokes that will soon be arriving at the Nice Ash for your puffing pleasure. We actually went way over our budget so look for some fantastic deals and event coming up over the next few weeks to clear the way for new inventory. We are very excited about our new additions along with our expanding whiskey menu so what are you waiting for? Getcher Ash in here and enjoy! Nice Ash current offers 120 whiskeys! While an impressive amount; we still have some holes in our selection that we want to fill. Brands like Michters, Old Pulteney, Middleton, and Caribou Crossing will soon be available. We will be taking our selection to a new level.
Please let Jeff know what you would like to see added to our Whiskey Menu. It's your chance to form policy at the Nice Ash! We have another Nice Ash World Series of Poker excursion under our belts and for the 3rd straight year we have a player with a cash! Tim Duffy ground it out and finished 121st out of 1688 players!
Myself, Joette and Pete all played in the same event, #33 but sadly couldn't get it done. For those of you who love poker and haven't done a WSOP event you need to do it. It's an awesome experience to sit in a room of thousands of poker players, novices to the top pros in the world, all working for the same goal! If you haven't done so already, come hone your poker skills at the Ash in our freeroll Monday and Wednesday Tournaments . We start at 7:30 (get here before 7pm and get an additional $500 in chips) and it usually ends about 3 hours later. Starting in July our players begin qualifying for our WSOP tournament where you can win an entry to next years WSOP and come home a winner like Tim! So what are you waiting for? Getcher Ash in here and play some poker! Thirty-three years ago today, Joette and I got hitched. It was the best thing to ever happen to me! Joette has been an awesome wife, the best mother one could ask for and my best friend. We have been blessed with three beautiful children and two grandchildren. For the past 8 years we've had the pleasure of inviting our customers into our family and its been more rewarding than I could have ever imagined. So a hearty thanks to Joette for putting up with me for all these years.
Its been a few weeks since I've blogged. Having an oldest daughter get married and being busy with appraisal work is my excuse. Maybe not a great one, but the only one I've got.
That said, I just scheduled our next Whiskey Tasting. We will be exploring the world of Irish Whiskey. We will offer up a classic Jameson, Michael Collins, Red Breast 12 year old, and Knauppauge 16! The cost is $7.50 for Whiskey Club members and $15 for non-members. We have two dates to choose from: Tuesday June 24th at 7:30pm or Saturday June 28th at 3:00pm. It's a great time to join the Whiskey Club and take advantage of everyday discounts and special events like this tasting! We currently have 109 different whiskeys to choose from, so what are you waiting for? We are pleased to announce three new, rare whiskey selections at the Ash.
The first two are from a new concept of Diageo's called Orphan Barrel Distillery. The Barterhouse ($15) and Old Bloward ($25) are bourbons that are 20 and 26 years respectively. The Orphan Barrel concept takes advantage of lost and forgotten barrels of whiskey that is apparently not all that uncommon in the industry. The other special offering is a bottle of Yamazaki 18 ($35). This rare and select whisky is now available at the Ash. We have one bottle and no prospects of replacing it soon. It is on par with Macallan 18 or Johnny Blue. At this time we are only making these available to our Whiskey Club Members. Another great reason to join! |
Jeff BartaJeff's claim to fame is that he sleeps with the owner of the Nice Ash. Jeff will share his musings on cigars, whiskey, beer, poker and any other things that peak his interest. I hope you enjoy. Archives
