Eight male contestants vied
for the title of NICEST ASH at the Nice Ash on the evening of July
28. It was a short lived contest ending after only 74 minutes
of competition. The field was close and ended in a 2-way tie
for first place and a 3-way tie for 3rd position. The
winning smokers were Tim D, who puffed on an Ashton VSG and acheived
an ash of 2 3/4" and Jim who smoked a Rocky Patel Sun Grown also
attained a 2 3/4" ash. Jim had
the whitest ash of all. Tim and Jim split a box of Joya De
Nicaragua Antano as the first place finishers. Three
gentlemen: Tom M., Al D. and Jeff B. tied for 3rd place. They
all puffed to 2 1/4" before losing their ashes.
Tom smoked a Rocky Patel Nording, Al leisurely enjoyed a CAO MX2 and
Jeff chose a Savinelli. The 3rd place finishers all received a
$25 gift certificate to the Nice Ash to enjoy another cigar.
Bryan E., Tom K., And Brent R. rounded out the field. These 3
all got a firm pat on the back for their efforts. Watch the
